The Book Nook at SM Aura is collaborative effort between The Book Stop Project, WTA Architecture and Design Studio, SM Aura Premiere, and SM Cares. The open and free library serves as redistribution point of pre-loved books of the surrounding community.
Many great ideas begin by picking up a book. The Book Nook has become an extension of our passions and advocacy to share ideas and connect communities. The design focuses on the opportunities of social interaction. The oval shaped bench features a layout for each child or adult to see and interact with each other. It also provides a space where storytelling sessions can be held.
Book Nook at SM Aura also integrates a UV light disinfection box for the cleaning and sanitation of the books. This feature allows us to exchange books with each other worry-free.
