The proposed C-6 pedestrian bridge is an elevated pedestrian bridge and viewing deck located in Parañaque City, Manila, Philippines. The development creates a connection between the busy road network and the path for pedestrians, aiming to promote positive vibrance while linking the project to its surrounding environment.
With mobility and maximizing the user’s experience in mind, WTA presents a pedestrian bridge designed to accommodate economic and leisure activities. By providing sufficient space for vendors as well as human collaboration, the walkway becomes a lively path that elevates the experience of commuting from point to point. A viewing deck overlooking Laguna de Bay is designed with fluidity, expressing smooth elegance and a strong connection with the lake. Wood and metal sheets clad the viewing deck structure, while glass railings make the walkway both subtle and safe. A tower – an elevated park - located in the same area, develops the Belvedere concept that builds a structure in an elevated position to provide lighting, ventilation, while taking advantage of a fine view.
The entirety of the project is one that is subtle in the sense that it does not obstruct any view from the ground level. It blends with the environment it is in, while still standing out. Not only does it serve as infrastructure but as a feature for the community.
