SPOT.ph features The Book Stop Project for its new look unveiled at the annual Dia del Libro in Makati last April 2017.
“Ever since The Book Stop started bringing around the bite-sized pop-up library around Metro Manila, book lovers have been waiting its return to the spot nearest them. We’ve seen its asymmetrical shelves hop from one place to another: Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati, Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, San Sebastian Church in Quiapo, and back to Ayala. Manileños would be happy to know that everyone’s favorite library is now back in the Walled City with a new look.
The new design was unveiled at the annual Dia del Libro in Makati last April. It now sports a staircase-like structure that doubles as a roof for the book corner below it. The bleachers are ideal for holding an audience during The Book Stop Project events like poetry readings, spoken word performances, and the like. It can also serve as a resting spot for anyone wanting to just sit down with a book in hand.”
