BREAKING: Philippine’s The Book Stop Project Wins International Award

When in Manila features The Book Stop Project, as the project receives the German Design Award for Excellent Communications Design Architecture. 

 

The article reads: “Just in, The Book Stop Project has been conferred the 2018 German Design Award for Excellent Communications Design Architecture by the German Design Council, which considers only unique design trends. 

Apparently, while Filipino bookworms are buzzing about this library that has been popping up in various parts of Metro Manila, so are people abroad.

According to its creators, “The Book Stop Project is a network of mobile spaces spread across the city with each space garnering far more foot traffic than the typical library. In a modern society where no library or bookstore can beat the collection of books that are available online, The Book Stop refrains from trying to reinvent the purpose of libraries.”

Instead, it seeks to redefine how we interact with libraries by transforming the library into community and events center.”
