The proposed Urban Hotel Argo in Malate is situated in a corner lot where Alonzo St. and Adriatico St. intersect. The site is provided with a framed vista of Manila’s iconic sunset by the bay and skyline.
The main design inspiration and branding for the proposed Urban Hotel Argo in Malate was derived from a well-known japanese art known as Kintsugi.
Kintsugi is the art of repairing broken potteries with golden lacquer and understanding that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken. Highlighting damages and presenting it as an art piece that is unique with every crack.
This concept is a befitting allusion to Manila’s eccentric beauty and Urban Hotel Argo’s intent to be the city travelers’ preferred hotel as they experience the capital’s authentic charm.
