The Spring Hill Villas are design options for a residential neighborhood situated in Caliraya, Laguna. The neighborhood boasts many features that its residents can enjoy, including a lush and scenic natural environment, land and water leisure activities offered by its surrounding gardens and man-made lake, and a cool climate all year round. The area is also under the Type IV climate, which means that it experiences an evenly distributed rainfall amount throughout the year.
These features define the proposed model house designs for the neighborhood. Three concepts were produced to provide people with options for the varying lot sizes available.
CONCEPT 1: AMPHIBIOUS HOUSE
Adapting to the weather conditions of Caliraya, the concept of the Amphibious House blends natural elements into the design by introducing rainwater collection systems and spacious interiors while keeping the privacy intact.
Water plays a key feature in the design, by diverting collected pockets toward the inside of the house, creating water features and a serene ambience within the home.

CONCEPT 2: STACKED HOUSE
The Stacked House draws upon Caliraya’s lush surroundings. It emulates the sense of intimacy of scale and proximity to greenery. Spaces open up to the natural flow of the wind, sunlight and plants in all directions. Rooms, hallways and bathrooms catch glimpses of flora through gaps and openings, pulling in the sense of nature into the most intimate aspects of a house.

CONCEPT 3: GARDEN HOUSE
To blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor, the concept of the Garden House focuses on orienting its living areas towards green spaces to embody Caliraya’s lush environment in the house. These gardens serve as breathing rooms through lots with deep topography. Alternating between terraces, a courtyard, ample corners and balconies, the house is painted with greeneries and natural light that can be seen in all spaces of the house, continuing a sense of attachment with nature.
