WTA ranked 88th among the world’s 100 largest architectural practices
WTA takes another step in our journey in establishing a design-focused global Filipino architecture with another milestone as we grow into the 88th of the world’s 100 largest architectural practices by Building Design for the third straight year.
Twelve Luxury Flats wins an Asia Pacific Property Award!
WTA Architecture and Design Studio was honoured at the 28th Asia Pacific Property Awards in an online virtual ceremony for the Twelve Luxury Flats project. The company competed against the best design professionals across the Asia Pacific regions to be recognised in the Architecture: Multiple Residence Philippines Category for 2021-2022.
Twelve Luxury Flats Architecture Tour
Located in San Juan, Manila, The Twelve Luxury Flats stack houses that allow for gratifying views, healthier ventilation, better privacy, tighter security and a more efficient footprint. Moreover, the ground floor serves as commercial space for the residents’ easy access to goods and services.
WTA Design 60 Emergency Quarantine Facilities to Fight COVID-19
As hospitals around the world are reaching their capacity, the architecture and design community is developing new alternatives to fight COVID-19. In order to build 60 Emergency Quarantine Facilities (EQF), WTA was inspired by their pavilion developed last year, part of the Anthology Festival. A viable quarantine structure, the Boysen Pavilion “embodied speed, scalability and simplicity in its structure”.
“Sustainable” Capitol, New Stadium-Park Soon to rise
ILOCOS NORTE – Adapting to the growing developmental needs of its people while safeguarding the province’s heritage, the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte unveiled the architectural plans of the “Big 3” infrastructure projects, particularly the “sustainable” Capitol building and new Ferdinand E. Marcos (FEM) Stadium, last February 3.

Garden City wins OPAL Award
Developed by Golden Bay Land Holdings, and designed by WTA Architecture and Design Studio, the Garden City Cavite wins the Outstanding Property Award London (OPAL) 2020 for the Property Development: Mixed-use category. Aspire Corporate Plaza was also among the awarded projects done by Golden Bay Land Holdings.

PASIG CITY, May 5 (PIA) – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Marikina City Government, and WTA Architecture+Design Studio turned over five emergency quarantine facilities (EQF) to Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center (ARMMC) in Marikina City on Monday, May 4.

Horizon East District
Horizon Manila is currently the biggest approved reclamation project in the Metro Manila side of Manila Bay. The first phase of development of Horizon Manila is Horizon East. It is a 12-hectare superblock located in the centre part of the first island. Within Horizon East is a church, a village, an esports arena, offices, dormitory, and an International school.

The City of San Juan is a lovely residential neighborhood at the geographical center of Metro Manila. At only 595 hectares, San Juan is the Philippines’ smallest city with Greenhills Shopping Center and its surrounding villages occupying a significant portion of that land area.

Kicking off 2023 with another triumph, WTA Architecture and Design Studio rank 96th in this year’s WA100 2023: The Big List! WA100 is an annual survey of the top 100 architecture firms worldwide compiled by Building Design, a top UK-based online publication for the profession.
The EQF Project is One of Three Finalists for B1Ms Construction Story of the Year
Our Emergency Quarantine Facilities (EQFs) are one of three finalists for the B1Ms Construction Story of the Year 2021. The EQFs were built to help increase the capacity of our hospitals during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because speed and scalability was crucial, the structure made use of readily available materials and could be built in 5 days. The project delivered more than 3,500 additional beds in the Philippines and was made open source for an anyone to use.

Designing the Manileño dream
Not many will contradict me if I say that the works of fantasy writer Neil Gaiman and sci-fi legend Isaac Asimov are especially noteworthy for their world-building, for conjuring up a specific universe that we are happy to be transported to time and time again. “Speakers DDC Architects principal Denise de Castro and WTA principal William Ti, Jr. each associated the topic with communication, de Castro comparing it to a relationship and Ti calling it a dialogue. Discussions revolved around the architects’ experiences in joining and winning competitions, their learnings in dealing with different types of clients, and what they value most with regards to ensuring that a project is relevant enough. ” Read more here.
