Julia Barretto, sisters raise funds for COVID-19 quarantine facility

April 7, 2020November 27, 2020 Ryan Arcadio | Inquirer.net

Julia Barretto raised funds for a Emergency Quarantine Facility

The Emergency Quarantine Facility gets featured in Inquirer.net as Julia Barretto, a Filipino celebrity, supports the WTA project initiative.

“Julia Barretto and her sisters Dani and Claudia are calling for monetary donations to provide an emergency quarantine facility for COVID-19 patients.

They began the online fundraiser called “#ParaMayBukas” to help hospitals that are facing overcrowding amid the pandemic, Julia said in her Instagram post last Sunday, April 5.

The three women have partnered with architecture firm WTA Design Studio for the effort. The firm has been constructing quarantine facilities since last month in light of the increasing confirmed COVID-19 cases.

The sisters plan to raise P600,000 through their initiative. Out of the collected amount, P350,000 will be used to cover the cost of one emergency quarantine facility, while the remaining P250,000 will be used to provide PPE and meals for the team that will build the structure. Those interested in helping may donate through this page.”

The EQF in Fe Del Mundo Medical Center in Quezon City is funded by Dani, Julia, and Claudia Barretto, with Engr. Dave Renzo Buenconsejo leading the construction team.
