As a Transportation Research Associate for Transport Planning, you will collaborate with architects, urban planners and fellow researchers of diverse backgrounds in creating holistic studies that will inform architectural and master plan designs.
Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Determine areas of research for various urban planning and master planning projects
Practice quantitative and qualitative methodologies in analyzing transport-related problems.
Conduct transportation studies, traffic impact assessments and transport mode planning for master development plan projects and similar design and construction projects
Collaborate with a team of architects, designers, engineers, research associates and other stakeholders to integrate research findings into design proposals and project plans.
Collect, record and analyze data through site visits, government reports, frameworks, and plans and conduct extensive review of related literature and local / international benchmarking
Interpret data, produce reports discussing research findings in a national, regional, provincial, municipal, and barangay level
Prepare clear and concise research reports and presentations summarizing key findings, insights and recommendations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with major in transportation engineering or degree in Environmental Planning with major in transportation or any equivalent.
Strong background and interest in urban studies, urban planning, transportation modes, transportation planning and methods and emerging trends in the discipline.
Experience in applying Civil Engineering sub-discipline principles particularly transportation engineering in architectural and construction projects and development master plan projects.
Proficiency in relevant suite of applications and methodologies, including but not limited to: Geographic Informations Systems (GIS), Civil3D, Traffic Simulation (i. e. Aimsun, Simulation for Urban Mobility (SUMO)).
Proficiency in related applications (e. g. HEC-RAS) is also welcome.
Proficiency in collaborative applications (e. g. Google Docs) and in presentation (e. g. Adobe Suite, Canva).
Ability to work independently and practice strong self-management skills.
